Managing Myelodysplastic Syndromes
Currently, supportive care is the primary approach for managing myelodysplastic
syndromes (MDS). Supportive care is achieved by effectively monitoring symptoms
and managing them with transfusion, antibiotics and other sustaining therapies.1,2
Additionally, helping patients improve their overall wellness is essential
to managing MDS. Patients should be encouraged to follow excellent wellness
practices and seek support as necessary to maintain optimum wellness.
